Climatic and bathing resort in the western part of the ligurian Riviera of international importance Finale Ligure possesses wide and sandy beaches extending for approximately four kilometres, accompanied by palm avenues and bloomed flower-beds.
Unified administration only from 1927, Finale Ligure comprises the old districts of Finalborgo, Finalmarina, Finalpia and Varigotti, beyond the fractions of Gorra , Monticello , Olle, Perti, Calvisio, Verzi and Manie.
Finalmarina extends on the shoreline with its magnificent walks on which every Thursday morning the traditional market is taking place; it is the community centre , has its railway station and also the most important shopping centre. To visit: the Basilica of Saint Giovanni Batiste of baroque style, dedicated to the Saint Patrono, the arch of Margherita of Spain, the fortress of Castelfranco, the arch of Carl Alberto, the Pieve del Finale (rests of a pre-christian church in the basements of the church of the Cappuccini) and numerous nobler palaces.
